For my collateral design class, I was asked to rebrand, The Museum of Jurassic Technology. Their collection includes a mixture of artistic, scientific, ethnographic, historic exhibits, and some unclassifiable exhibits from human history. In preparation for this project, I visited the museum several times with my sketchbook. I spent significant time, taking notes and making rough sketches of the museum’s odd collection of artifacts. In choosing the logo, I was inspired by the work of Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, a Russian Astronomer who was active throughout the late 1800's and early 1900's. The original piece was apart of Tsiolkovsky space dwellings drawing series.
